Float into your Saturday night at the Brunswick Artist Bar with electromagnetic sounds of Xenosine, be spellbound by the Buchla tones of Wizard (aka Mu Gen & Cosmic Sound Explorer), start the feet tapping with Marcus Newman dub tech beats, then hips moving to the groove as Death Of Socrates and Mr. Rachele fuse old school techno with the sound of today, and finally get swallowed into the night by the hypnotic rhythms of Naca. Expect some visual treats by our good friend Chaos Bender.
TSP's third outing of the year, back in out original venue, the Brunswick Artist Bar with Elaktronic 02! We pride ourselves on presenting a multi genre night of all live hardware electronic music. Electronic music and the rave scene was born of inclusion and that is what TSP is all about. To spread the love of live electronic music and the artists that create it. Multi genre night so expect to start chilled and work your way onto the dance floor.

Live hardware acts on the night:
Xenosine is an electronic composer/performer and audio-visual artist informed by the rich history of sound synthesis and electromagnetic phenomena. He creates immersive multisensory environments based on synergistic approaches with technology. This is largely enabled through the open ended architecture of modular synthesisers, node-based programming languages and laser display systems. Electromagnetic phenomena has always been at the centre of Vijay Thillaimuthu’s practice. Whether fascinated by the discovery of self generating tones through signal feedback, or the realisation that voltage could deflect and guide rays of light in analogue display systems. The driving force has always been the joyful exploration of electricity as well as the visceral, transcendental experiences it could produce in expression as sound, vibration and light.
Marcus Newman is live electronic music artist. Obsessed with radio shows on KISS FM in the late 90’s he obtained a healthy appetite for all things techno. His education at Media Arts RMIT introduced him to a wide range of sonic explorations influencing his current style. His energetic improvised live performances create unique compositions heavily focused on getting the dance floor moving. His progressive style blends elements of acid house and techno using analogue and digital synths.
Wizard aka Mu Gen & Cosmic Sound Explorer
Brett's (Mu Gen) research explores the relationship between creativity, technology and musical practice. Drawing on artistic research, emerging technologies and experimental composition, he investigates new ways of creating, performing and experiencing music. His current work focuses on cybernetics, emergence and Proximity Composition, an original compositional methodology that explores musical form in which the environment becomes an intentional component of the composition itself.
From Cosmic Sound Explorer intergalactic vibrations for the Mind, Body and Soul. Exploring the endless cosmos of sound and healing frequencies through modular synthesis. Speaking to nature, calming the mind, moving the body and singing to the soul. Stories unfold as tones and textures weave the soundtracks of your imagination.
Naca (aka Sameer Shachi) is a Melbourne-based electronic music artist whose sound moves through deep hypnotic textures, groovy rhythms, and lush pad work, built for an immersive, dancefloor-first experience. Since emerging into the scene in 2012 after relocating from Bangladesh, Naca's tonal palette has been shaped by artists like Rodhad, Jako Jako, DJ Nobu, Wata Igarashi, and Adriana Lopez.
Melbourne's underground scene, rooted in warehouse culture and independent promoters rather than mainstream festivals; has shaped Naca's sound and helped establish him within the city's respected electronic music community.
Naca performs live techno sets built around hardware and modular synthesis, bringing a hands-on improvisational energy to the stage that with real-time sound design and evolving textures crafted in the moment.
With over a decade in the Australian electronic music scene as a promoter and co-founder of Cathouse, Naca brings a promoter's ear and a deep sense of dancefloor dynamics to every set.
The dead philosopher's cataclysmic brand of minimalist techno has captivated audiences at Melbourne Techno Collective events since taking residency with the long-running Melbourne party crew. Death of Socrates signature style has been honed over decades of meticulous practice, deep contemplation and applied technical prowess. Known largely as a DJ, in 2022 Death of Socrates debuted his 100% hardware, largely improvised live show, taking his hypnotic sound into an exciting new direction.
Drawing upon his instincts as a DJ, Death of Socrates live show is technically rich whilst remaining deeply connected to the dance floor. The pace modulates between moody and atmospheric with intense, high energy crescendos. Fully improvised 909 rhythms fuse with live synths, polyrhythmic pulses and huge kick drums. In 2025 Death of Socrates developed his show further, collaborating for the first time with the highly regarded Melbourne house producer and legendary DJ, Booshank.
For this show, Death of Socrates will take things further again with a very special, never before seen collaboration with one of Naarm's most active advocate of live hardware electronic music, Mr. Rachele.
Age is a live techno artist who embraces an improvisational approach with his hardware. His sound has a melodic driving quality informed by his modular synth manipulations, and drum machine patterns, all purely techno. Think of luxury 1990s Euro-techno meal served with lashings of futuristic textures and rhythms, and you might be close! All his music in and out of the studio is based on his love of jamming live.
Mr. Rachele is an active member of the live hardware electronic community with an aim to burst the DJ culture bubble and see the return of electronic music culture, where all forms of artistic expression is celebrated. Founder of The Signal Path & Modular Theme Time.
