The Signal Path: Home of Live Hardware Electronic Music

August 2026 - Noisegate present Korg PS-3300 - Latent Memory Live.

Date: 18st of August, 6:30 to 9pm

Howler Theatre room. (Back room) Entry is FREE!

First hour - Synth meet. Bring in a piece of gear, share and chat hardware. (Instructions in last paragraph).

Then - Live act Latent Memory. David brings in his 2600M and hardware friends for his debut set at TSP synth meet.

David Apostol is a Melbourne based sound artist and photographer. Creating music under the moniker “Latent Memory” David explores the sonic palettes of analogue synthesisers by creating long, slowly evolving soundscapes that invite the listener into a journey of deep listening.

Last hour - Noisegate presents Korg PS-3300.

The Noisegate crew will bring in the PS-3300 for you to get your little mitts on! (access to the PS from 6:30-7:30pm. Before the live act.)

(8pm) Brett Little from Wizard will start his PS-3300 demonstration. Brett has been playing with his own PS-3300 at home and knows it better than anyone else we know in Naarm. Looking forward to hearing it belt out over the Howler system.

Our friends at Noisegate are not only bringing the PS-3300, but also the following Korg pieces for you to try. ARP-2600FS, ARP Odyssey FS, Mini700FS, MS-20FS, KAOSS PadV & the NTS-4 mixer.

If that was not enough for you, how about a giveaway? The Korg NTS-3 Kaoss Pad Kit!

About the PS-3300: Between 1977 and 1981, the original PS-3300 carved out a legendary place in music history. With fewer than 50 units made, its lush, expansive sounds appeared on just a handful of recordings - making it one of the rarest and most sought-after synths in history. Today, original models are almost impossible to find, cementing its status as a true “phantom” of the analog world. Now, the legend returns. Bought to life by its original creator, Fumio Mieda, and the team behind Korg’s acclaimed revivals (ARP 2600 FS, miniKORG 700FS, and more), the PS-3300 is a faithful reproduction that blends meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail with modern reliability.

Note it's 'burger night' at Howler. Good quality cheap burger and a beer.

See you there.

The Signal Path synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm. Dickheads will be shown the door. Please notify bar staff of any discretions.

6:30-7:30pm - Synth meet & share.

7:30-8pm - Latent Memory live hardware set.

8-9pm - Noisegate presents Korg PS-3300.

Big thanks to Kevin of Stable Music and Howler for providing us with this space.

Instructions on the synth share:

Every synth meet, in the first hour, it's 'bring a synth to share'. It can be anything from a groovebox, drum machine, synth or any electronic music making box. Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room). There is a strictly "no drink over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk! If you do plan on bringing gear (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space. Bring a pair of headphones as well please. Patrons also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones if that makes you more comfortable.
