First hour 6:30-7:30pm - Synth meet. Bring in a piece of gear, share and chat hardware. (See instructions below).

Then 7:30-8pm - Feedback session.

Patrons will have the opportunity to contribute to Miles Cosmo's PHD research on the viability of generative AI as a creative collaborator in art practice (music).

Patrons will be provided with a QR code that will take them to an online questionnaire where they can submit their thoughts on the music that will be played through the Howler sound system. Questions regarding generative AI as a collaborator in an art practice, addressing ethical concerns, aesthetic quality, and a more general empathic response to music that incorporates AI generated materials.

Finally 8-9pm - Panel Discussion.

Miles hosts a discussion panel regarding generative AI’s relevance in the zeitgeist of art discussion, the inherent ethical ramifications of its use, and how it can be harnessed as a collaborative extension of human creative output.

Panelists: Lalka & Alistair Walsh. More TBC.

Instructions for synth meet gear share:

Every synth meet, in the first hour, it's 'bring hardware to share'. It can be anything from a groovebox, drum machine, synth or any electronic music making box. Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room). There is a strictly "no drinks over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk! If you do plan on bringing gear (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space. Bring a pair of headphones as well please. Patrons also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones if that makes you more comfortable.

The Signal Path synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm. Dickheads will be shown the door.

Big thanks to Kevin of Stable Music and Howler for providing us with this space.
