March 2026 - Tips & Tricks - Thru-Zero live.
Date: 17th of March, 6:30 to 9pm
Howler Theatre room. (Back room) Entry is FREE!
Normal synth meet for the first hour. Bring in a piece of gear, share and chat hardware. (See instructions below).
Then - Thru-Zero performs for us, crafting raw experimental electronic music-shaping instability and texture into immersive, physical sound.
Finally - Tips & Tricks! This will be the first time we have tried a session like this. So it's a lesson for everyone. Including me. Tips & Tricks is all about production and performance with live hardware, whether in the studio or out. Four experienced live performers will share their methods for production and performance on a piece of gear of their choice. Open for discussion and the floor will always be open for questions.
Our guest presenters are: Jani Ho, Shay Doe, Honeysmack & Lincoln Webber.
Instructions on the synth share: Every synth meet, in the first hour, it's 'bring a synth to share'. It can be anything from a groovebox, drum machine, synth or any electronic music making box. Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room). There is a strictly "no drink over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk! If you do plan on bringing gear (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space. Bring a pair of headphones as well please. Patrons also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones if that makes you more comfortable.
Note it's 'burger night' at Howler. Good quality cheap burger and a beer.
See you there.
The Signal Path synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm. Dickheads will be shown the door.
6:30-7:30pm - Synth meet & share.
7:30-8pm - Thru-Zero live.
8-9pm - Tips & Tricks.
Big thanks to Kevin of Stable Music and Howler for providing us with this space.
