February 2026 - Synth Meet - Five Minute Jamz! - Live act (TBC).
Date: 17th of February, 6-30 to 9pm
Howler Theatre room. (Back room) Entry is FREE!
Seeing as all the gear people are over at NAMM right now, and I need to get this thing organised, we should have our own little NAMM over here in Naarm.
Normal synth meet for the first hour. Bring your gear and share it.
Then!!!!! FIVE MINUTE JAMZ! Bring a piece of gear to jam out on the Howler system for five minutes. Limited to 12 spots (1 hour) so first in best dressed.
In the aussie tradition 'giving it a go' we will have a first time live act. Ross Hall is a DJ and bedroom producer. We temp him out of his studio, and off social media to show us what he has been working towards the past few years. I have been watching the development of his live jams and I think it's time his art is shared with the world. Expect some quality beats.
Instructions on the synth share: Every synth meet, in the first hour, it's 'bring a synth to share'. It can be anything from a groovebox, drum machine, synth or any electronic music making box. Feel free to play with all the synths in the room, except for the live jam setup (should be in the middle of the room). There is a strictly "no drink over synths" policy. Unless it's your synth, in which case it's at your own risk! If you do plan on bringing gear (of any description) please get in touch so we make sure there is ample table space. Bring a pair of headphones as well please. Patrons also feel free to bring your own pair of headphones if that makes you more comfortable.
Note it's 'burger night' at Howler. Good quality cheap burger and a beer.
See you there.
The Signal Path synth meet is a safe space. Zero tolerance on discrimination, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm. Dickheads will be shown the door.
6:30-7:30pm - Synth meet & share.
7:30-8:30pm - Five Minute Jamz!
8:30-9pm - TBC
