ŽIVA is the bilingual music project of Croatian-born, Melbourne-based artist Lucija Ivšić, blending darkwave, electronic music, pop, and traditional Croatian singing into intense, upbeat live shows built in real time through looping, vocal processing, and multi-instrumental performance. Often compared to Björk, Boy Harsher, and IC3PEAK, ŽIVA has been selling out headline shows across Australia, including a 2025 performance at Dark Mofo, and her latest album, ŽIIVA (2026), received critical acclaim across Australia and Europe, with several media outlets naming it as one of the year's standout releases. When not making music, Lucija creates sound artworks and installations, and lectures at Monash University and RMIT. She holds a PhD in Computer Science.
